As Live Project: day as a camera assistant

The second years had to create and film a live tv show and needed help from the first years as camera operators, camera assistants and runners. I gained the spot of a camera assistant which mainly involved me cable bashing for my camera op. The show was called Unsigned Live, which allowed unsigned bands to perform in front of a live audience. Overall I had fun working on the As-live project, enjoyed listening to the bands playing, gained experience and learnt a lot from this project.

Sound Unit: The Journey progress

Yesterday I imported my clips onto Final Cut and started editing with them. In total I took over 900 photos so that I would have a wide range of shots to play with and doing this has helped me a lot. At the moment I am one third of the way through the editing process and still have to match the sound effects to the pictures but I know what sounds I want and what shots I want them on. Here are some more pictures I have chosen to import.

Sound Design unit: photo shoot

Last Thursday I took my photos for the sound design project. My story is of a student travelling to university, but everything goes wrong for him until when he gets to uni something unusually lucky occurs that doesn't happen to many people. I took up to 950 photos (most of them being doubles and triples) so I could have a wide range of shots, here is a taster of some of the scenes. Enjoy!
